Your homecare package gives you access to many services that cater to your needs. These services are divided into three categories:
- Care Management
- Package Management
- Direct Care Services.
The service categories explained
Care management
This refers to regular assessments of your needs, goals, and preferences, and reviewing your care plans to ensure they integrate with your support services. Depending on the care model you choose, case management may vary in terms of hands-on involvement and delivery. We work closely with you, your family, and your support services to ensure that you’re receiving the best care, and to address any risks to your health, safety, and wellbeing.
Package management
This refers to all the admin, paperwork, and compliance work involved with a homecare package. It includes preparing invoices and monthly statements, responding to invoice inquiries, submitting claims to Services Australia, financial reporting and updates (such as updating income-tested care fees and basic daily fee payments), and maintaining records. This service also covers rigorous background checks of workers, training of staff, quality improvement of services, and compliance activities (such as COVID-19 vaccination compliance).
Direct care services
This refers to hands-on support for your daily activities, independence at home, and overall wellbeing. It can include personal care, domestic assistance, meal preparation, and social support. As everyone’s needs are unique and personal, the care you receive will be tailored to your preferences so you can maintain your lifestyle as you want it.
